About Heart and Home

Heart and Home is a non-denominational Christian outreach offering fellowship and encouragement for mothers who desire to strengthen their home and build it on the foundation of Christ.
What is Heart and Home?
Heart and Home...
  • is a monthly meeting that offers support and encouragement for moms
  • equips women in their God-given roles as mothers and wives
  • nurtures friendships between fellow moms in a relaxing and accepting atmosphere
  • is open to all area moms
When and Where is Heart and Home?
Heart and Home meets:
  • one Friday a month
  • from 9am - 11am
  • during the school year (September - April)
  • at New Castle Bible Church. Please call the church office for additional directions (309)447-6486.
Is Childcare provided?boy
  • Heart and Home provides quality childcare in a safe, loving atmosphere for infants through 5 years of age. For moms who homeschool, we have a "homeschool" class for first grade and up. This class is taught on a rotation basis by the moms who homeschool.
  • All of our childcare workers have been briefed in New Castle Bible Church's KidSafe policy.
  • All classrooms are divided by ages. There are separate infant and toddler nurseries, and individual classes through age 5 (or pre-K).  For moms who homeschool, we have a class for 1st grade and up.  This class is taught on a rotation basis by the moms who homeschool.
  • Prepared lessons are provided for 3 year olds - Kindergarten.

Is there a cost?
Sick child policy
If your child has a fever of any sort, diarrhea, unexplained rash, pink eye, or runny nose other than clear, please do not bring him/her to Heart and Home. They most likely do not feel like being there and they do not need to infect the older childcare workers or an entire classroom. If your child is fever-free for 24 hours or has already been on an antibiotic for 24 hours, they are welcome to attend.

Motherhood is the most important job you will ever have, requiring time and sacrifice in giving proper priority to raising a family. Being a mom can sometimes be a thankless job, but the rewards can far outweigh the challenges and struggles. Heart and Home will help energize, equip, and encourage you to do the job God designed you to do, and be the woman God wants you to be!
