Breakout Descriptions:

"Walking Together on the Path of Grief" Mike Hanson

How do you minister to a friend who has just experienced the death of someone close to them? How can you tell when a friend has moved from normal suffering to sin? How do you counsel your own heart when losing someone you love? Learn how to deal with each of these issues and how to respond biblically.

"Emotional Abuse: Is It? What Is It? What Can I Do?" Shaun Lewis

The pain is real even though the scars aren't visible. This session will help you identify abuse and offer biblical hope to the hurting.

"Biblical Counseling Through Daily Life" (For Women) Teresa Krause

Learn from a panel of women who are part of the Biblical Counseling Ministry. Discover ways you can provide encouragement and wisdom to your spouse, kids, co-workers, friends, and even strangers as you navigate daily life.

"Guys, Gals, and God's Good Design" Scott Gnuse

The sexual revolution has taken the nation by storm over the past few decades, particularly on matters concerning gender and human sexuality. The movement has made its way into schools, homes, and even churches. So how should Christian parents and young people respond to these issues? This workshop will show how the Bible shapes our thinking on gender, sexuality, and the human heart, while providing hope to the hurting.

"Overview of the Biblical Counseling Ministry at NCBC" Ben Holman

Come learn about the formal biblical counseling process from the initial request for counseling to "graduation" and everything in-between. Also, discover the different roles and opportunities you may have to be a part of the biblical counseling ministry here at NCBC.
