Denny grew up in Morton and attended church at New Castle all his life, except for a three-year stint in the military. He and Karilyn were married in 1973 and raised three children, Sarah, Amy, and David, while he worked as an electrical controls engineer and served in various leadership roles at the church. David and his wife, Katie, still attend New Castle with their three children, Cole, Sophia, and Jackson.
In 1987, Denny was asked to join the pastoral staff and received his ministry training through the Moody Graduate School. He retired from the pastoral staff in 2019 and continues to serve as a Life Group leader, Elder, and teacher. He and Karilyn cherish their varied ministry roles and the many friendships they have formed over the years.
